Informal letter Mario Toribio


Hey Mark,

It’s been a long since we last talked. How are things going? I just arrived from my world trip!
Do you remember Samantha and Tom? I’ve been travelling around the world with them for almost 2 months! It has been a really fulfilling experience. We’ve lived a lot of things, some funny and some scary, but we learned a lot from all of them. The trip started in Berlin, because we all wanted to go there. We saw lots of things, its street art, and its museums and we even touched a part of the Berlin Wall! Then we went to Norway to see the fiords and Tom bathed in a pool at -8º! You should have seen his face, it was hilarious From Oslo, we went to Moscow, where we stopped to go to New Delhi, in India. There, we rode elephants and we all fell a lot of times! The locals laughed a lot, but I was really embarrassed. From India, we went to Tokyo, where we ate a lot of odd but tasty food. Then, we went to our last destiny, New York. We did a lot of things in New York. We went up the Empire State, we saw a show at Broadway… Sadly, we had to come back home and we took our last plane to Barcelona three days ago. It has been a really nice trip.  I’ll explain you more funny anecdotes when we meet.

And how are you? John told me you were working in London. What is your new job about? And how did you get the job? I hope it’s a nice job.

Good afternoon. I’m John McKansas and a week ago, Peter told me to speak in front of all of you about anything that I wanted. I could tell you that I have this speech prepared and that it is very emotional and elaborated but no, sorry.  I could also make up with a funny anecdote that makes you be jealous about our relationship. And I could also say that my dear friend Peter Bonerz is the best friend I could ever have had.  I remember five years ago, when we celebrated Thanksgiving day in high school, Peter pulled my pants down in front of everyone included the director. I was angry at first, but now I laugh when I remember it. Joking apart, Peter has always supported and helped me when I needed him. I hope he enjoys this night’s party and I wish him best of luck.
